CRAIG — One candidate has stepped out of the race for Moffat County clerk and recorder. Audrey Anna Masterson has withdrawn her candidacy for the office to accept a job in the private sector.

“My family and I are still very proud to call Moffat County home, and we look forward to a bright future here,” she said in a news release.

With Masterson’s departure from the race leaves only one candidate, Tammy Raschke, in the election to replace county clerk and recorder Lila Herod, who is term limited. Raschke has worked in the county clerk’s office as motor vehicle supervisor for 22 years and has served as chief deputy clerk.
