BLM Colorado issues emergency closure of public lands near Lee Fire
Temporary closure is for firefighter and public safety

The Bureau of Land Management White River Field Office has issued an emergency public closure of additional public lands for firefighter and public safety in the vicinity of the Lee Fire.
Please refer to the attached closure order and map for accurate information on the lands that are closed. The order is effective immediately and will remain in effect until the Lee Fire is declared controlled or until this order is amended or rescinded.
Firefighter and public safety are the highest priority. The temporary closing of the lands is to reduce exposure to hazardous situations due to the rapid rates of spread and fire behavior that the Lee fire has exhibited recently. The public is to remain clear of these closed lands.
Please use caution and watch for firefighters when traveling in the Meeker area. For more information, please call the White River Field Office front desk at 970-878-3800.
