Yampa River cleanup in Steamboat Springs and Craig set for July 29

Friends of the Yampa and other partners are presenting Yampa River Cleanups in Steamboat Springs and Craig on Saturday.

The Craig cleanup will take place at the Pebble Beach, Loudy-Simpson and South Beach boat ramps.

Volunteer check-in begins at 10 a.m. at the Loudy-Simpson boat ramp in Craig. Cleanup will take place 10 a.m.-noon.



A celebration and lunch will begin at noon. Cold beer and soft drinks will be provided by Yampa Valley Brewing Company. Informational tents will be set up to provide information about the Yampa River.

Sponsors of the Craig cleanup include the City of Craig, Friends of the Yampa, Good Vibes River Gear, Northwest Chapter of Parrotheads and Yampa Valley Brewing Company.
