White River National Forest orders public forest closure near Elk Fire

The White River National Forest has issued a public forest closure for firefighter and public safety in the area of the Elk Fire in Rio Blanco County, according to a news release from the U.S. Forest Service.
The closure extends within the Blanco Ranger District west and includes the Long-Lost Trail system. The Long-Lost trail starts along Rio Blanco County Road 8 and extends to the junction with the Routt National Forest.
