This weekend offers two great opportunities for the community to enjoy some camaraderie with its neighbors, some laughs and appreciation of the talents of gifted Moffat County residents.

Tonight and Saturday night, residents can catch the Moffat County High School Theater Department perform “Fools,” a quirky comedy set in a small village where most of the inhabitants take on the role of proverbial idiot. A school teacher must break the curse on the village.

The play, which promises some interaction for the audience, runs at 7:30 p.m. each night and costs $5. It is free to all MCHS students with a valid student ID.

The other unique experience for residents also is at the high school at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Craig Concert Association hosts a local talent show, which will feature several musicians. The show is open to all and no tickets are required.

The Cedar Mountain Strings will provide music in the lobby before the show.

In a small community, an often over-used complaint is “there is nothing to do.” The shows this weekend are just two of the many things to do in Moffat County.

And this weekend, one need look no farther than our own high school.
