Senior Spotlight for Monday, September 12, 2011
The best philosophy I have learned and try to follow is to take one day at a time. It’s hard to do sometimes.
Things seem to happen that I have to take time to really understand.
There is one thing that happened several years ago that I still have trouble with, mainly because I don’t know why it happened. If we understand why, then hopefully we can resolve the problem and go on with our lives knowing we tried our best.
I think now, as I grow older, I trust in faith more, for without it we have nothing to really hold on to.
And now let’s move on subjects that are more fun.
I have birthdays this week for Beverly Chapman, Catherine Deitz, Irma Knudsen, Dorothy Murray, Vreta Sasges, and Elizabeth Tabor.
Get well/speedy recovery to Harriet Decker, May McCollum, Doloris St. Louis, Stephen Sharp, Jesse Stover, Linda Sandoval and Clara Abeyta.
The potluck lunch is scheduled for noon Friday at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford St. Bingo follows at 1 p.m.
The VFW senior dinner will hopefully take place the first Monday in October, on Oct. 3. I’ll keep you posted.
News, anniversaries, birthdays, etc., are always welcome. Come join us anytime. Call me at
824-2139.
