Senior Spotlight for Jan. 12, 2011

The snow is coming down faster now, or at least there’s more of it at once.

The Sunset Meadows maintenance crew is trying to clear the walks at both places. It is a chore for anyone. It is a constant here.

I give Beverly and John big kudos for putting in hours of work any time , day, evening, weekends, etc.

In the early mornings, I see them already out there. Today was one of those times.

I used to shovel snow, then I watched as the snowplow came along and pushed the street snow up on and around the curb.

I’d get around to shoveling the ice storm away from the road and curb to make sure the mailman could get to the mailbox.

Oh, the good old days.

My neighbor would come out and join me and we talked and shoveled, enjoying the companionship.

I have birthday well wishes for Dale Griffin and Davida White.

Get well/speedy recovery to all my family, friends and neighbors who have whatever it’s called going around , flu, crud, etc. , and to anyone else ailing from anything.

The potluck this week is at noon Friday at Sunset Meadows I. Bingo follows.

If you have birthdays, anniversaries, etc., let me know. Age doesn’t matter. I can be reached at 824-2139 or 633 Ledford St., apartment 112, in Craig.
