Scott Cook: Thanks for going above and beyond

— To the editor,

As a local, small business owner, I know we get all the blame if something goes wrong but no credit when things go right.

I want to give Lincoln and Derek Cleverly at Jackson’s Office Supply all the credit for their customer service.

My folks have a cabin north of Steamboat Springs. Their previous satellite TV quit working. They had relatives coming in for the holidays and the college football bowl season was in full force.

Lincoln and Derek had to make a total of three trips through some horrendous driving and weather conditions to get the system working. They had to fight 3 to 4 feet of snow to install the dish.

Finally, they discovered that the dish itself was defective. They replaced the dish and the system worked perfectly.

It would have been much easier for them to tell my folks that they would have to wait until spring or until the weather and road conditions were a little safer and better, but they didn’t.

They hung in there and got the system working when I know most people would have given up.

Thanks for going above and beyond to make a customer happy.

I don’t think a nonlocal business would have made the effort that the Cleverlys did to get a happy customer.

Thanks,

Scott Cook
