Police find cooler full of drinks on road: On the Record — Monday, Aug. 6

Monday, Aug. 6

2:02 a.m. At a business on the 700 block of Victory Way, officers with the Craig Police Department responded to a silent panic alarm. When they arrived, officers learned the cashier had accidentally triggered the alarm.

2:14 a.m. At a business on Victory Way, a caller reported two juveniles breaking curfew. When officers arrived, they learned the juveniles were from Meeker and called their parents to pick them up.

1:55 p.m. On the 1200 block of Sixth Street, officers responded to a report of a car rolling onto a power box. The driver was cited for failure to secure a vehicle. Yampa Valley Electric was called to repair the box.

3:19 p.m. At the intersection of Fourth and Washington streets, officers responded to an accident involving a car and a motorcycle.

7:46 p.m. At Breeze Street Park, a caller reported seeing a young girl who looked similar to a person of interest. When officers arrived to investigate, they determined the girl wasn’t the person of interest.

8:35 p.m. On the 800 block of Ashley Road, a caller reported damage to a mailbox.

9:37 p.m. On the 2000 block of Victory Way, officers found a cooler containing ice and Gatorade in the middle of the road. They surmised the cooler must have fallen off a truck.
