Young athletes got a handle on the game of hoops recently, learning and growing in the sport that they’ll hopefully continue in the coming years.

Moffat County Youth Basketball, along with Hoop Vision, hosted the Triple Threat Skills Workshop Jan. 4 at Craig Middle School, with more than 100 kids attending.

With local volunteers joined by Hoop Vision’s Coach Kevin Washington to oversee the day, children in grades 3-8 from Craig, West Grand, Rangely and Rifle got a sense of basketball fundamentals including shooting, passing and ball-handling.
