“Over the past three weeks, these students have been working their hardest to procure the finest salsa,” stated a news release from the class. “Not only that, the students also must create and advertise an entire brand, complete with a logo, trade character, and a trade and company name. In order to advertise, the students are able to create posters, use social media, and create a commercial. This salsa will be available for the student and staff body to taste and vote for who they believe to be the best of the best.”

The activities are still to come this month with the DECA team attending its state event this weekend in Colorado Springs, with 25 students — many of whom are state competitors in both events — looking to make it to nationals.
