Lois Stoffle: Thanks for parade visit
To the editor:
I would like to thank the “powers that be” at the Moffat County High School for having the homecoming parade make it all the way up to Sandrock Ridge Care & Rehab last Friday. The residents, my husband included, were absolutely delighted to see all of the participating floats, vehicles, businesses, walkers, horses and most definitely the Moffat County High School band! All of the residents, family members and staff who could be there were outside in the gazebo or in their wheelchairs while others were sitting by the windows inside enjoying the music and the sights and sounds of the parade.
A special thanks to the band as they stopped and made their formation right in front of our special audience that was seated outside and played several tunes just for them! How gratifying to see those wonderful young people entertaining and honoring our residents! And when the band finished playing, they put their instruments aside and visited personally with the residents. That made the day very special indeed! A big “THANK YOU” to all of the participants of the homecoming parade — thank you for being so supportive of our schools and of our community and especially of our retired people living along Ledford Street and up at the Sandrock Center.
9:02 a.m. On the 1000 block of Sage Court, community services personnel in Craig responded to a code enforcement call. A resident was issued a verbal warning for a code violation.
