The phrase “thank you” doesn’t seem to contain what is needed to express what my family feels in receiving so much love from you all. When I try to think of the words, I am at a loss, however I will try…

Thank you to all of you who have stood in the gap to celebrate a life well lived, and honor the life of my beloved husband, Daniel Baker. This amazing community is so special and we are blessed to be a part of it. 

What a whirlwind the last couple weeks have been. I would like to thank you for showering my family with so much love and support. Thank you for speaking kind words about my husband into my family. We are very lucky to have so many who knew Daniel in his life and who were able to speak to all sorts of memories from beautiful, to fun and even some silly.

He will be so greatly missed. Our hearts hurt for the time we will not have him here. While the years were short, there is so much life he lived in those years. I pray it continues to intertwine in our lives and comfort us in the years we have left. 

Thank you for walking alongside us in this hard part of life and for not being afraid to cry with us, laugh with us, make jokes in the midst of it all, and for asking day-after-day how we are doing. Even when most of you already knew the answer.

Again, I am just so grateful. I am grateful for the meals, the kindness, the hugs, and the expressions of your thoughts toward our family. 

Most of all I am grateful for a wonderful husband. It was my absolute pleasure to be Daniel’s wife. I will miss him.
