Laura “Blondelle” Lyster died March 9, 2002, in Boise, Idaho. She was 81.
Lyster was born June 11, 1920, in Illinois. She married Leland Lyster in 1940 and they moved to Wyoming where Lee was employed in the oil fields of Casper and Newcastle. She enjoyed sewing, walking, cooking, collecting recipes, memorable family trips to the Black Hills of South Dakota and her grandchildren.
Lyster is survived by her daughter, Dorothy (Sam) Mattise of Boise; son, Larry (Sue) Lyster of Craig; brothers, Lloyd Turner of Illinois and Max Turner of Arizona; sister, Virginia Stinebring of Illinois and grandchildren, Julie, Tony and Brenna Chaloupka, Ashley and Brandon Ellis, and Mandy and Cody Lyster. She was “Little Gramma” to five great-grandchildren, Nathan and Elle DeRider, Kendra and Karli Chaloupka and Eli Ellis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland; son, Douglas; brother, Mark Turner; and great-grandson, Jake Ellis.
Memorial services will be in Colorado at a later date.
