Keith Alan Dorland, of Craig, died May 13, 2003, after fighting for his life against a severe brain injury he received in an automobile accident near Milner, Colo., on Feb. 9, 2003. He was 19.

His last weeks were spent at the VYNE Hospice Center, in Wichita, Kan.

Dorland was born May 31, 1983, at Great Bend, Kan., surviving a twin who died at birth.

He is survived by his father, Ron Dorland, of Hayden, Colo.; mother and step-father, Vonda and Jack Bankston, of Wichita; sister, Nicole Dorland, of Wichita; step-grandparents, Don and Wanda Dorland, of Craig; grandmother, Myrna Miller; great-grandmother, Mabel Thomas; aunts Liz and Vicki; uncle, David; great-aunt, Lynette Farmer; great-uncle, Myron Thomas; numerous great-aunts and uncles; cousins and friends, especially his devoted Craig friends Crystal, Alan, Forest and Adam, who traveled from Craig to Keith’s funeral and Angie and Ray Zentz of Craig.

Memorial services were May 18, 2003, at All Faiths Funeral Home in Wichita.
