Beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend Jimmy L. Schwindt died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003, at his home in Clifton, Colo., of cancer. He was 70.

A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2003, at the Clifton Christian Church.

Jim was born in Bayard, Neb., on Sept. 25, 1932, to Carl and Henrietta (Vogal) Schwindt.



He attended country schools in the Bayard area. He lived in various areas and owned S&S Oilfield Services in Craig.

Jim always said that very few men are blessed with one loving wife and family but he was blessed with two. Jim was preceded in death by Charlotte J. (Nuss) Schwindt and survived by Florene (Klinesmith/Spencer) Schwindt.



Survivors include his father, Carl Schwindt; son, Keith Schwindt, and his wife and daughters, Candace Mumbower, Sherry Keuthan and Wendy Westby, and their husbands; brother, Ronald Schwindt; sister, Kathy Stahln; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six stepchildren and spouses; 23 step-grandchildren; and 38 step-great-grandchildren, all of whom he regarded and loved as his own.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Henrietta, and wife, Charlotte.
