What prompted you to open your business in Craig? Hair has been my life. I have always desired to make people beautiful. My family is in Craig and I enjoy the people here.

How did you get into your line of business? Right out of high school, I went to college for this profession. I knew early in my life that it was my calling.

What is your philosophy for being a good businesswoman? My philosophy for good business is cater to your clients. Listening is the key.

How do you define the role of your business in the community? I am in the business of making everyone feel more confident in themselves and to help people feel more positive about themselves.

What is the best part of your job? The best part of this job is the feeling I have when people look good leaving here. When they feel good about themselves, and I had a part in that, it’s great.

What is the most challenging part of your job? The most challenging part of this job is that you can’t please everyone. At the end of the day I can say I did my best, but this is hard to accept.

What advice would you give a young person considering opening his or her own business? My advice to a young person considering this business would be to believe in yourself.

If it is something you believe in, your positive attitude will take you where you want to go. Have confidence in yourself.

Also, in addition to your college degree, take all the small business courses you can.
