To the editor:
In response to the letter submitted by Leo and Pam Fournier that noted that “Craig Medical Center is the only place that takes Medicaid,” I would like to inform the Craig community about the Northwest Colorado Community Health Center.
The Northwest Colorado Community Health Center is located in Craig at 745 Russell St. (inside the Visiting Nurse Association offices).
As a new division of VNA, the health center has a mission to provide care for the underinsured and uninsured. The health center charges patients on a sliding fee scale; meaning that you are charged an affordable rate based on your income. The health center also accepts Medicaid, Medicare and CHP+.
Dr. Diana Hornung is the health center’s family physician and is available by appointment Monday through Friday.
The health center is here to help those will little or no insurance. To make an appointment, please call 970-824-8233.
