Free Talk Saves Lives community suicide prevention trainings Thursday

The Northwest Colorado community is invited to attend the free suicide prevention training presentation Talk Saves Lives, offered at two different times on Thursday at the Strings Musical Festival, 900 Strings Road, in Steamboat Springs.

No registration in needed, and everyone is welcome to learn how to help save lives in the Yampa Valley. Two sessions will be offered Thursday — 12-1:30 p.m. and from 5-6:30 p.m..

The event is sponsored by the nonprofit REPS, or Reaching Everyone Preventing Suicide, in collaboration with UCHealth and Strings Music Festival.



Talk Saves Lives is an introduction to suicide prevention is a community-based presentation that covers the general scope of suicide, research on prevention and what all people can do to help save lives.

Across Routt and Moffat counties in 2024, a record high number of 19 individuals died from suicide.
