6 p.m. Interested in learning or reviewing the basics of severe weather spotting? Attend the Basic Weather Spotter Training session at the Shadow Mountain Clubhouse meeting room. This training will help you identify, anticipate, and report significant and potentially life-threatening weather. You will also receive training on protecting yourself and others during severe weather.
Wednesday, May 5
8:30 a.m. M.O.P.S. (Mothers of Preschoolers) meets at Calvary Baptist Church from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. for breakfast and activities. Pregnant moms and moms with children through kindergarten age are welcome. Call Lauren at 824-0101.
5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Share Craig Registration Day is at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 678 School St. For more information, call Karen at 824-7939 or Laura at 824-7916.
Thursday, May 6
10 a.m. There will be an Alzheimer’s & Dementia Support Group meeting in the conference room at Sunset Meadows Building 1, 633 Ledford St. Call Regina Allred at 824-3985.
5:30 p.m. The Community Foundation of Northwest Colorado will hold its annual meeting at the Center of Craig. Call Pat McCaffrey at 824-5105.
Friday, May 7
5:30 p.m. The RAD after-school program will host a “RAD EXPO” Hawaiian style at the Craig Intermediate School. The luau is open to the community and includes a pig roast dinner for $5 a person. Wear a Hawaiian shirt. Call Dianne at 826-0199.
Saturday, May 8
9 a.m. to noon. The Alzheimer’s Association presents caregiving techniques for Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia at Rangely District Hospital, 515 S. White Ave. Call Annie Smyth at (970) 256-1274 or Starlyn Hinkle at (970) 675-4298.
10 a.m. The Humane Society of Moffat County will meet for coffee at McDonalds. Pet foster care families and drivers to help take unadopted pets to other shelters are needed.
