Moffat County High School 2006 yearbooks will be for sale during lunch today and Thursday at the high school, 900 Finley Lane. The cost of a yearbook without a name on the cover is $45, or $48 with the student’s name on the cover. The last day the yearbook staff can accept checks or money orders, made out to Moffat County High School, for names is Jan. 13. For information, call 824-7036.
6 p.m. Students in Craig Conrad’s woodshop class will distribute the 25 toys they made for area children at the Moffat County High School woodshop. The event is open to the public.
Thursday, Dec. 15
10 and 11 a.m. The Craig branch of Moffat County Libraries, 570 Green St., holds story-hours. Holiday stories will be told, and children will make tree hats. Call Linda at 824-5116.
6:30 p.m. The Colorado Wilderness Network will host a joint John Fielder/Colorado Environmental Coalition open house at the Center of Craig, 601 Yampa Ave. Fielder will discuss and present a slideshow of his newest book, “Colorado 1870-2000 II.” The event is free, and refreshments will be served.
Friday Dec. 16
7 p.m. The Greenridge Mountaineer Square Dance Club will gather at Hayden Congregational Church, 202 E. Jefferson Ave. in Hayden. A Christmas potluck dinner will be held at 6 p.m. Call Lois Norman at 824-6773.
Saturday, Dec. 17
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Craig Youth Soccer Association will hold its first registration for spring soccer leagues at Kmart, 1198 W. Victory Way. The deadline for spring league registration is Jan. 30. For information, call LaShanna Cox at 826-2827.
1 to 2 p.m. SHARE Craig, a program working to provide affordable groceries, will distribute items at St. Michael’s Church, 678 School St. To receive the items, participants must have registered. Call Karen at 824-7939.
2 p.m. The Caregiver Support Group will meet at Sandrock Ridge Care & Rehab, 943 W. Eighth Drive. Call Regina Grinolds at 824-3985.
4 p.m. The Browns Park and Maybell Community Christmas party is at Lodore Hall in Browns Park. A traditional turkey and ham dinner will be served. Participants are encouraged to bring a salad, vegetable or dessert to share. Parents should bring a wrapped gift for Santa to give each of their children. Call Lois Vaughn at (970) 269-8950.

5 p.m. Local 1799 United Mine Workers of America will meet at the Center of Craig, 601 Yampa Ave. Dave Maggio will answer questions about Medicare, Part D.
