Business beat: Local biz adds to fleet, keeps trucking along

Hans Hallgren
Peroulis Brothers, 1600 E. U.S. Highway 40, has added several new trucks to its fleet.
You may see the trucks as they drive down Yampa Avenue and U.S. Highway 40 on the way to the next destination.
Take a closer look the next time and see the improvements on the newest additions to this fleet. Congratulations Tony!
Setting the standard
This past week, the Best Western Deer Park Inn and Suites was bestowed the honor of “Best Western’s Chairman’s Award for cleanliness and maintenance.”
To receive the award, hotels also must meet Best Western’s standards for design and high customer service. The local Best Western fit the bill in both categories.
“Receiving the chairman’s award from Best Western is a tremendous honor,” owner Kerry Moe said in a news release.
You can make reservations at this hotel by visiting the 262 Commerce St., address or by calling the 24-hour toll free 1-800-987-8376. To take a virtual tour, visit the Web site, http://www.bestwestern.com/deerparkinnandsuites.
New business in town
Now open at 519 Yampa Avenue is Pinky’s Palace, owned in part by Kari “Pinky” Wasik.
The new venture has been built to serve the youth of our great community. Pinky’s Palace offers a comic book section, band paraphernalia, patches, hair dye, belts, gifts and much more. In addition to that, it also is a place where the young people can go to “hang out.”
You can visit them at the store at its location in downtown Craig or by calling 824-0165.
Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
