Briefs for Oct. 6
World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, set for Saturday, is a unified day of action to celebrate and support hospice and palliative care around the world.
This year’s theme, “Access to Care for All,” highlights the fact that everyone has a right to high-quality, end-of-life care but that more needs to be done to enable everyone to access it.
The three aims of World Hospice and Palliative Care Day are: to increase the availability of hospice and palliative care throughout the world by creating opportunities to speak out about the issues; to raise awareness and understanding of the needs — medical, social, practical and their families’; and to raise funds to support and develop hospice and palliative care services around the world.
For more information or to get involved, call Hospice and Palliative Care of Northwest Colorado at 879-1632.
