Obituary: Rick Holford

Rick Holford, 78, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2024, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. He was born on April 21, 1946, in Denver, Colorado.
Rick dedicated his career to Law Enforcement at Moffat County Sheriff’s Department. He served with honor and commitment in his role.
Rick was a devoted member of The Journey at First Baptist Church, where he found solace and community.
In his free time, Rick enjoyed going on walks with his dog throughout Yampa Valley, and his favorite hobby of golf, spending countless hours trying to perfect the game.
Rick is survived by his children, Brett Duncan and Jennifer Darveau, his grandchildren, Max, Sadie, Teddy, and Aubreylynn, as well as his Daughter-in-Law Elissa Duncan and Son-in-Law Stan Darveau. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
A memorial service will be held at The Journey at First Baptist Church on June 23nd, 2024, AFTER what would have been his regular church service at NOON. Attendees are invited to share memories of Rick at the end of the Sunday service.
