Obituary: Cornelia Elizabeth McCoy Leiker

Cornelia “Cory” Elizabeth McCoy Leiker of Craig, Colorado, passed away on October 21, 2024, in Palisade, Colorado, at the age of 73.
Cory was born on April 19, 1951, in Marshall, Minnesota, to Leroy McCoy and June Sens. She graduated from Marshall High School, then attended Augsburg University in Minneapolis. She married Norman F. Leiker on October 4, 1975 in Pierre, South Dakota. They lived in Marshall, Minnesota, Gillette and Wheatland, Wyoming, but have been residents of Craig for over 40 years. Corey worked as an accountant and owned Accucomp and Cory Leiker Accounting.
Cory loved to paint with watercolors and was involved with Arts and Humanities in Craig. She loved to cook, especially for her family and friends. Her specialties included lefse, linguine with white clam sauce, and biscuits and gravy.
Cory is predeceased by her parents, Leroy McCoy and June Virginia Sens; and her brother, LeRoy McCoy Jr.
Cory is survived by her husband, Norman F. Leiker of Craig; her son, Matt Leiker of Cheyenne, Wyoming; her daughter, Amanda Leiker Fagan of Oxnard, California; her brothers, Dan McCoy of Marshall, Minnesota, Tim McCoy of Marshall, Minnesota and Bob McCoy of Montevideo, Minnesota; as well as four beloved grandchildren, Evelyn Leiker (16), Austin Leiker (12), Katy Fagan (15) and Johnathan Fagan (12).
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 2-4pm at the Luttrell Barn, 411 Emerson St., Craig CO 81625.
