Carol was the oldest of three children born in 1940 to parents Robert and Earla. She was very close to her sister JoAnn and were often referred to as twins. Her brother Bob was the youngest and looked after by both his sisters. Carol grew up in Virginia and that is where she met her future husband Dan, her sailor. They were married in 1965 in Virginia Beach VA and recently celebrated their 60th anniversary prior to her passing. The navy took Carol and Dan to California where their children Kathy and Daryl were born. Realizing they wanted a quieter place to raise children they moved to Craig in 1972. Carol work as a bookkeeper and teller at local banks and also in the school lunch program. Carol had a passion for photography never missing a chance to capture her family and all the beauty of CO. She was proud of her husband Dans military service and loved her country, always having an American flag flying wherever she went. Carol loved her quilting, making quilts for grandchildren, family, friends, and even donating many to the hospital. Carol also spent her spare time playing her favorite hobby, Bingo. No matter the time or place, Carol had time to play, and most times came away with a win or two. Carol’s family will remember her in a family gathering on her birthday in 2026 to honor her.
