Brandon Marc Gordon, 31 of Hillsdale, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017 at Hillsdale Hospital. He was born July 3, 1985 in Hillsdale to Dallas and Renee (VanAken) Gordon.
Brandon graduated from Pittsford High School in 2003 and he was currently employed as a cook at The Deck Down Under. Brandon loved to cook and he aspired to become a chef one day. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching and following the University of Michigan, the Detroit Lions, Red Wings and Tigers as well as the career of Peyton Manning.
Survivors include his mother, Renee (Jim) Campbell of Craig, Colorado; father, Dallas (Anita) Gordon of Allen; nine siblings, Jerid Gordon of Hillsdale, Bryan (Tosha Magg) Dunning of Hillsdale, Ashley (Dan) Stegg of Adrian, Sara (Mitch) Haarer of Osseo, Jessica (Sam) Sorrell of Allen, Joshua (Eileen) Gordon of Baltimore, Maryland, Jeremiah Gordon of Craig, Faith (Ryan) Vandersteen of Munster, Indiana and Aubrey Campbell of Craig; four grandmothers, Oma VanAken, Beth Lewis, Sharon Gordon and Carol Ulbrich and several nieces and nephews.
Brandon was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Warren VanAken, Jim Lewis, Raymond Gordon and Jerry Ulbrich.
Funeral services for Brandon Gordon will be Friday, June 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM at VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale with Pastor Gaylord VanAken officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
