Letters to the Editor

Policy

Before you use the online form below to submit a letter to the editor, please read the guidelines below.

The Craig Press accepts letters to the editor that are 400 words or less. Letters and columns must include the author’s name, hometown, affiliation (if any) and phone number (for verification purposes only).

The decision to print any submission is at the discretion of the Craig Press publisher and editors. Form letters and letters considered libelous, obscene or in bad taste will not be printed, nor will letters containing personal attacks. Claims made in submissions have to be supported by facts and must cite credible sources as needed. Frequent writers are typically limited to having one letter or column run a month to keep the conversation fresh. There is also an emphasis on keeping the focus in the commentary section on local issues. We cannot guarantee publication or specific publication date.

All letters must include the phone number of the writer so the authenticity of the letter can be verified. By submitting a letter to the editor, you grant the Craig Press a nonexclusive license to publish, copy and distribute your work, while acknowledging that you are the author of the work. You grant the Craig Press permission to publish and republish the material without restriction, in all formats and media now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to all electronic rights. Solely by way of example, such rights include the right to convert the materials to CD-ROM, DVD and other current and hereafter developed formats, the right to place the article in whole or in part on the internet and other computer networks, and the right to electronically store and retrieve the work in electronic databases.

The Craig Press does not sell email addresses to third parties; however, each user understands that by providing an email address, the user is consenting to receive email communications from the Pilot & Today and/or its affiliates and partners. All such emails will provide the user with the opportunity to unsubscribe or opt-out.
