Craig educators, citizens honored

Craig Mayor John Ponikvar, left, awards a certificate of recognition on Tuesday to Randy Looper, owner of Elk Run Inn. Looper and his wife, Cindy, allowed the city to have some of their yard in order to expand the sidewalk at the corner of Green Street and Victory Way, allowing for handicapped access.

From business owners giving up property to improve sidewalks, to educators helping students make leaps and bounds in learning, a number of people were recently recognized for their outstanding work.
