Johnnie Lee Mullis August 2, 1938 – January 28, 2020

Despite beating esophageal cancer, Johnnie Lee Mullis died on January 28, 2020 in Craig, CO at the age of 81. He leaves behind his daughters, Krisha (Leigh) Fox and Sheri Lea (Bruce) Stacy; his grandson Vernon Snow; his great grandson’s Levi Fox and Trevyn Snow, and great granddaughters: Haley Snow, Kaylin Snow, Ashlyn Snow, and brother Willis (Beth) Mullis.

Johnnie was born on August 2, 1938 in Chelsea OK, to father Oglesby James and mother Katherine May, who both predeceased him.

Johnnie married Judith (Judy) Ann Guthrie on Nov. 20, 1958. Johnnie and Judy moved their family to Craig, CO in 1972. Johnnie lost Judy to lymphoma cancer in 2013 and his daughter Anita Kay Classen in 2017.

Johnnie requested to be cremated. His ashes will be interred in the family plot in Hoisington, KS Cemetery at a later date. A memorial service will be held on Feb 29, 2020 at 10 am with a reception to follow at The Journey At First Baptist in Craig, CO with Pastor Tim Adams officiating.
