Janine Marie Stehle was born the daughter of Donald and Mary (Chapman) Stehle on February 7, 1956 in Craig, Colorado. She spent her childhood in various areas including Craig, Wyoming and Alaska. After residing in Fairbanks, Alaska for 28 years, Janine moved back to Craig where she would reside for the remainder of her life. On June 4, 1987, Janine married Mark “Rowdy” Doehling in Craig. To this union, a daughter was born. Together they raised their daughter on the family homestead. The couple had the honor of sharing 33 years of love and marriage. Janine was a successful entrepreneur. She owned and operated Tri State Supplies for many years. When she wasn’t working, Janine also loved spending time on the ranch and soaking up the sun. In her spare time, Janine enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, four wheeling and she was an avid rock hound. More importantly, she was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She was a true patriot and member of Friends of the NRA. Her family will always remember her for her kind spirit and big heart who had a special love for kids and veterans. Janine will be deeply missed and cherished by her beloved husband, Mark “Rowdy” of Craig; daughter, Lindsey Stehle-Doehling of Craig; adopted daughter, Tanya Letamendi of Florida; two grandchildren, Timber and Aspen Stehle-Doehling; and a host of friends she adored.
Janine was preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Friends of the NRA in care of Grant Mortuary.
