Wrestlers win in a tie

The Moffat County wrestling team weathered injuries and absences to tie Delta Thursday night in a dual on the road, 42-42.

The Bulldogs were without four wrestlers from the team that made the trip to Las Vegas on Saturday. The 103-, 130-, 140- and 189-pound weight classes were empty or occupied by another wrestler.

The Bulldogs forfeited three weight classes, but Delta was also without two weights at 189 and 135. Winners by pin for the Bulldogs were junior Jake Breslin, junior Brice Boling, senior Korey Kostur, senior Daniel Cramblett and junior Trenton Duarte.

Officially, the Bulldogs won the match because they won more matches, 6-4.

Next up for the wrestlers is a Saturday tournament in Rifle.
