The women of Bella Vocé Show Chorus will get their vocal chords warmed up for big competitions while providing a free show for Craig residents. The curtain goes up at 1:30 p.m. April 27 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1295 W. Ninth St.Bella Vocé, part of the international music organization Sweet Adelines, features female a cappella vocalists from across multiple areas, led by Craig’s Jeana Womble and Anna-Lisa Glad of Salt Lake City.

“Four weekends, three states, two directors, one dream,” Womble said, describing the preparation that has gone into getting singers together, including an upcoming regional competition in May in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

The Craig show will serve as somewhat of a rehearsal for the Region 8 event, in which Bella Vocé took first place last year for Small Chorus. With about 30 singers performing, besides the large ensemble, the show will also feature several four-piece groups: Imagine Quartet, Kizmit, Sweet Columbines and Deja Vu.For more information on Bella Vocé, visit the group’s Facebook page or contact Womble at gladiam@live.com.
