Win $50 in writing contest

Downtown Books and the Daily Press are sponsoring a second writing contest, also on Harry Potter. Entries should be final thoughts on book seven, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” and/or final thoughts on the overall series.

The winner will get a $50 dollar gift certificate to downtown books, and be published in the Craig Daily Press.

All accepted entries will be put on the Daily Press’s Web site,

Entries should be no longer than 800 words, and contestants need to be in the Craig Daily Press coverage area. The deadline has been moved back for entries. It is now Aug. 10.
