Wildfire Thursday afternoon in Moffat County

Craig Daily Press Staff Report

Craig Fire/Rescue and the Moffat County Sheriff’s Office responded to a small wildfire Thursday around 3:30 p.m.

Moffat County Sheriff KC Hume said the 7-acre fire was located between Moffat County Road 20 and Moffat County Road 78.

The fire was caused by lightning and took approximately four hours to extinguish, he said.

No structures were damaged by the blaze.
