Mushrooms offer some powerful health benefits including relief from high cholesterol levels, breast cancer, prostate cancer and diabetes. Mushrooms also contain selenium, which can benefit bone health by adding to bone strength and increasing durability.
But, a word of caution: don't be tempted to pick and eat any mushroom you see growing in your yard. Most species of mushrooms are not edible. Some are poisonous.
