Look, up in the sky!
The seventh annual Moffat County Balloon Festival will launch 24 hot air balloons for the public Saturday at Loudy-Simpson Park. The early morning event will lead into a multitude of activities in the park throughout the day ranging from a 5K to paddleboard races to Bernie Rose Story Hour to arts and crafts booths to live music by Bill Clark and headliner Steve Thomas Band. An evening balloon glow will start at dusk Saturday night, while a second launch will take place Sunday morning.

Fair enough
The 98th annual Moffat County Fair will be in full swing next week, but the weekend before includes several happenings, especially if you have an appreciation for horses.
Open horse shows include the English division Friday, western division Saturday and the Working Ranch Horse Jackpot Sunday.
Sunday will also include Cowboy Church and country gospel music by John Wayne Band, followed by the open dog agility trials and an ice cream social.
Be sure to drop by in the following week for even more fun put on by 4-H families.
