Time is running out to enjoy the full breadth of the Northwest Colorado summer, and this weekend is as good a time as any to really take in as many activities as possible as autumn looms on the horizon.

After a rain delay earlier this month, Grand Futures Prevention Coalition will host the Middle School Splash Party Friday at Craig Pool Complex specifically for middle school-aged students.
The evening features pizza, games and prizes.

The 79th annual Craig Fire/Rescue luau is Saturday at The OP Bar & Grill.
The party features a costume contest, limbo contest, dancing, and the return of the cornhole tournament.
Proceeds from the night will go toward Craig Fire/Rescue’s scholarship fund for local students. Admission will only be open to ages 21 and older.

A drive for good health

The second annual Rick Upchurch Drive 4 Life tees off Sunday morning as part of the Victory Motors Cancer Drive.
The tournament partners with the Ladies Golf Association as well as Upchurch, a former Denver Bronco who has battled chronic myeloid leukemia. The tourney also commemorates the life of Dave Watson.
Upchurch and fellow pro athletes will be joining players on the links, as well as long drive competitor Josh Cassaday, who could win competitors a trip for two to Pebble Beach with a hole-in-one, with plenty more prizes at stake.
