Weather Watch: Slow warm-up, small showers in store for Craig
The cold front experienced across the state last week will be moving along, but the winter impact will remain.
The National Weather Service predicts a drier week for Northwest Colorado, but temperatures will remain low for Craig, keeping below freezing for Sunday, Monday and much of Tuesday.
Warmer days are expected as the thermometer reaches a potential 40 by Thursday, but another wave of moisture could strike again that day, as well as a better likelihood Friday.
“There is a little system moving in that could drop in and bring snow to the northern mountain above Steamboat and maybe parts of the Flat Tops,” said Chris Cuoco, NWS meteorologist out of Grand Junction. “There’s not big chances, and it’s not that strong a system. It’s going to be mainly north of Interstate 70 and mainly in the mountains.”
The Victory Motors Cancer Drive saw another successful year raising money for the Moffat County Cancer Society over the weekend, surpassing $100,000 in donations.
