Virginia L. Kruger

Joplin, Nev., resident Virginia L. Kruger died May 18, 2003, at St. John’s Hospital in Joplin. She was 88.

Kruger was born May 31, 1914, in Kansas City, Mo., to Wade and Salena Rollins Godlove.

She married Walter C. Kruger on June 13, 1931, in Craig.



Kruger lived most of her life in Colorado and had moved to Missouri in 1984. She lived in Nevada for the past six years and was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Joplin, Mo. She was a homemaker.

Kruger is survived by grandsons, Murry L. Kruger, of Galena, Kan., and Walter C. Kruger, of Dallas, Texas; granddaughter, Diana McElwain, of Moundville, Mo.; nine great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.



She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; son, Carl E. Kruger and her parents.

Services were May 24, 2003, at First Baptist Church in Joplin with Dr. William C. Cox officiating and arrangements under the direction of Evergreen Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at a later date in Durango, Colo.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church or Faith Baptist Church in care of Evergreen Memorial Chapel in Joplin.
