Veronica Otero, Vickie Petterson and family: Remembering a mom a year after her passing :

In regard to Carla Jean Columbia Nelson: It has been a year ago today since you left us to be with God and our other angels. We can’t say the pain in our hearts has lessened any. We miss you more today than we ever dreamed possible. We relate so well to the saying, “If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, we would walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.”

We know you are no longer in pain, and we are very grateful for that.

Momma, we know the pain of missing you will never go away. You were the best mom and friend in the world, and we thank you so very much for that. We are everything we are today because of what you taught us.
