Vehicle crash sends man to hospital: On the Record — Thursday, Aug. 9

2:19 a.m. On the 900 block of Finley Lane, officers with the Craig Police Department responded to a fire alarm at Moffat County High School. School officials said it was a false alarm.
3:23 a.m. On the 500 block of Legion Street, a caller reported a possible prowler outsider her home, saying she heard tapping and banging on her windows. When officers arrived to check the area, they didn’t find anyone.
5:50 a.m. On the 500 block of Seventh Street, a caller reported a possible burglary after returning home early in the morning. Officers arrived to investigate and found nothing damaged or missing.
10:09 a.m. On the 500 block of Rose Street, a caller reported seeing people inside a vacant home. Officers arrived to investigate and, after contacting the property owner, learned the people inside the home are new renters.
1:42 p.m. On the 2800 block of Ninth Street, officers responded to an elevator alarm at the Colorado Northwestern Community College. When officers arrived, college staff told them everything was fine.
5:28 p.m. At the intersection of Finley Lane and Victory Way, officers responded to a two-car crash. One driver sustained minor injuries and was tranported to the hospital. Both vehicles were towed from scene, and citations are pending.
11:12 p.m. On the 800 block of Barclay Street, a caller reported being harassed by people outside a motel. The caller said she was asked to come to a party. When officers arrived, the people were gone.
11:40 p.m. On the 1000 block of Victory Way, officers spotted a vehicle being driven recklessly in a parking lot. Officers instructed the teenage driver to go home.
7:00 a.m. Near the intersection of First Street and U.S. Highway 40, police in Craig responded to a property damage crash call. Officers investigated an accident between two pickup trucks.
