Vacuum cleaner arouses suspicion in Craig: On the record Monday, Feb. 12

2:58 a.m. At the 600 block of Ledford Street, officers responded to a report of suspicious persons. Two or three boys were walking through a parking lot. The caller was worried they were attempting to get into vehicles. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the boys.

10:53 a.m. On the 600 block of East Sixth Street, a caller reported a potential burglary. The house was empty, and the caller believed it might've been broken into in the previous two weeks. Officers found a broken window in the home.

12:55 p.m. On the 800 Washington Street, officers responded to a reported disturbance. A caller said her ex-boyfriend, who would not leave the property, was inside her home breaking items. Officers found no crime.

2:57 p.m. At McDonald's, a caller reported a female came in "ranting and raving." The woman will be issued a trespass notice if she returns to the business.

4:39 p.m. Near the intersection of Hawthorne and Ranney streets, a caller reported that a teen with a gun was going house-to-house in the area. Officers contacted two people who were at the homes, who reported it was not a gun, but a piece of a vacuum cleaner. Officers believe the teen might have been selling vacuums door-to-door.

7:22 p.m. Officers responded to a mental health issue in the county. The issue was turned over to the Moffat County Sheriff's Office.

8:10 p.m. A person left the Correctional Alternative Placement Services facility in the morning and did not return.

9:53 p.m. Officers responded to a mental health issue.

11:59 p.m. At the Memorial Hospital, officers responded to an unruly patient.
