Two cars collide on U.S. 40 in front of Walmart

Emergency responders assist an unidentified crash victim Tuesday afternoon. Two cars collided on US Highway 40 in front of Walmart. The six people involved, four adults and two small children, were not critically injured but were taken to The Memorial Hospital.

Emergency responders were called to U.S. Highway 40 at about 4:50 p.m. Tuesday when two cars collided in front of the entrance to Walmart.

Law enforcement officials said a white Chevy pickup truck traveling East on U.S. 40 t-boned a white Ford sedan that was turning left.

Six people, four adults and two small children, were involved in the crash. Officials were unable to divulge how many were in each car or the names of those involved.

Though no one was critically injured in the accident, all involved were taken to The Memorial Hospital for further examination.
