Trish Snyder: What Christmas means
To the editor:
Christmas came early for myself, staff and customers at our place of business Thursday.
Northwest Tool Repair owner Charles Franklin entered asking, “Who wants a turkey or ham?”
His wife happened to be in the shop when he entered, and explained to us that Charles just wanted to spread some Christmas cheer.
He had purchased turkeys, had hams donated and was delivering these items throughout our community.
Why? Simply because he could.
I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank Charles and his helper (I apologize I did not get your name) for the hams that you provided us with, but even more so for the good cheer and Christmas wishes that came shining through that day.
Everyone knows that Christmas is Jesus’ birthday, but many do not take the time to share our Savior’s selflessness and generosity.
So, I would like to thank you not only for your generous gift, but also for reminding me what Christmas should be about — simply giving and sharing the love of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
