CRAIG — Firefighters are constantly training to be ready for any possible scenario, and Saturday, it was time for the 2018 rookies to learn about fire behavior.

All firefighters at Craig Fire Rescue are required to be at least Firefighter I and Hazmat Operations Certified.

Craig Fire Rescue firefighters are required to train monthly and quarterly. They are also given opportunities for advanced certifications.

A 4,279-square-foot fire training facility — built in 2013 and located on Industrial Avenue — is used to prepare firefighters for the hazards they could face in any given scenario.

Veteran Craig Fire Rescue retired firefighter Doug Slaight contributed photos to this story.
