TMH hosting blood drive next month

Craig Daily Press Staff Report

The Bonfils Blood Center encourages Craig and Moffat County residents to consider making a "lifesaving difference" next month by donating a unit of blood, according to a news release from the organization.

The Craig Community Blood Drive is scheduled for 12:30 to 6 p.m. Aug. 23 at The Memorial Hospital in Craig's conference room, 750 Hospital Loop.

"The hour it takes to make a single donation is all it takes to save the lives of up to three patients," Bonfils reported in the release.

To schedule an appointment, call the Bonfils appointment center at 1-800-365-0006, option 2, or sign up online at using the blood drive group number 0183.

Next month's drive is the fourth of five hosted by the Craig community this year.

"More than 200 blood donations were collected at drives in February, April and June, equating to as many as 600 lives that were saved or enhanced across Colorado by contributions from Craig residents," Bonfils reported.
