TMH CEO finalist will pursue a different job opportunity
After months of seeking a CEO for the Memorial Hospital, the board of trustees announced Friday that their top candidate for the position, Jim Marshall, would pursue another job opportunity.
“The board, staff and physicians all connected to Jim. We all believed that he was a strong candidate who would be a good fit for the hospital and the community. We do wish him well,” Forrest Luke, board vice chairman, said in a press release. He added that it was not surprising to hear that Marshall was being pursued by other hospitals given his knowledge and demonstrated leadership skills.
The board has conducted a nationwide search since February. It narrowed its results down to four candidates, and announced Marshall as its finalist in May.
The board will meet again in July to discuss reopening the CEO recruitment process. John Rossfeld is currently the interim CEO of TMH.
