The Memorial Hospital has two new CEO finalists, according to a news release.

The finalists were announced after the hospital’s board of trustees reopened the search for a permanent CEO last month.

The TMH Board of Trustees announced Wednesday that Nathan C. Olson, of Montana and Andrew J. Daniels, of Ohio, are finalists for the CEO position at the hospital.

Earlier this month, TMH board members were presented with a list of candidates and their qualifications. The board also discussed the interview process they would follow, according to the news release.

The board will use a multi-phase screening process where medical staff, department and senior leadership will have opportunities to meet the candidates.

“The candidates screened all had qualities that would benefit the hospital and the community. Ultimately, we narrowed it down to the two who we believe are the strongest candidates with the best cultural fit for TMH,” TMH Board chair Forrest Luke said in a statement. “Both Mr. Olson and Mr. Daniels possess the vision, skills and passion needed to move TMH forward.”

As required under the Colorado Sunshine Law, the board must wait 14 days before extending an offer to a candidate.

Nathan C. Olson is formally the president and CEO of St. Peter’s Hospital in Helena, Montana — a position he’s held from 2013 to 2016. Olson also was the CEO of Centura/St. Francis Medical Center in Colorado Springs from 2008 to 2013. Before his position in Colorado Springs, he was the president and CEO of Centura/St. Thomas Moore Hospital in Canon City from 2006 to 2008.

Andrew J. Daniels is formally the vice president and Chief Operating Officer at Avita Health System in Galion, Ohio. He held that position from 2010 to 2016. He also was vice president and non-clinical operations and information systems at Galion Community Hospital in Galion, Ohio from 2006 to 2010.
