Three students earn Mason scholarships
The Masons of Yampa Lodge No. 88 A.F. and A.M. in Craig has awarded three $500 scholarships this year to outstanding Moffat County High School graduates. The students are: Cricket Lyons, who will attend Colorado Northwestern Community College in Rangely; Tiffani Curtis, who will attend the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyo.; and Kristina Chadwick, who will attend the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.
Yampa Lodge urges all Moffat County High School seniors to apply for all the scholarships they can.
The Masonic scholarships are not awarded just for academics or athletics, but consider community involvement and financial need. Masons consider the scholarships not only an award, but an “investment” with hope students will return to the community after their education is completed. (Sumitted by the Masons of Yampa Lodge.)
After two days of competition at the Colorado State High School Rodeo Association State Finals, riders and ropers from Moffat and Routt counties are making their way into the home stretch.
